ANDY WARHOL PORTRAIT
When I attended design school in New Zealand, one of our core subjects was design history. At first I hated it. I spent hours writing essays about art, famous artists and the different periods of art, Impressionism, Cubism, Bauhaus School Of Design and then one day I discovered "POP ART." That changed my life. I was suddenly aware of the artist Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. Andy Warhol also had a graphic design background and was a well known illustrator in New York before he decided to concentrate on his art career and the famous Campbell Soup images took the New York art scene by storm. What followed was a career full of famous Andy Warhol, silk screened portraits of famous people and Interview magazine. In the late 1960s Andy Warhol famously said: “In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minutes.”

This art piece is a tribute to Andy Warhol, thank you for inspiring me in my art and design career.
